This included two nominations for Randy Newman, in honor of his songs from The Princess and the Frog. Composer Michael Giacchino, who was nominated in the Original Score category for his music for Up, recently earned two Grammy awards for the same score.
The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PST.
