ASCAP Members Triumphant at 2010 Primetime Emmys

ASCAP members earned awards in three out of five music categories at the 62nd annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards, held on Saturday, August 21st, 2010 in Los Angeles. Veteran composer Sean Callery picked up his third Emmy for his dramatic score to 24, while Randy Newman (fresh from earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame) was cited for his Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics to "When I'm Gone," which crowned an episode of Monk. The duo of Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman earned an Emmy on their first go-round, for their theme music to Nurse Jackie.
