ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Writers Feted at Grammy Nominee Brunch
On the morning of January 30th, 2010, ASCAP honored its Grammy-nominated Rhythm & Soul songwriters with a brunch at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. A large crowd of high-profile ASCAP songwriters and celebrities from the urban music world gathered at the highly-tipped event, mingling and celebrating the more than 100 nominations received by ASCAP Rhythm & Soul writers.
This was another banner year for ASCAP Rhythm & Soul writers at the Grammys, with full ASCAP sweeps of the Best R&B Song, Best Rap Song, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration categories. Beyoncé topped all nominees with an astounding 10 nominations, while Maxwell earned six nods and Jay-Z and David Guetta (SACEM) received five.
The Grammy Awards ceremony takes place on January 31st, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA.
