iCarly actress JENNETTE McCURDY gets ready for her close-up as a singer-songwriter

Sixteen-year-old Jennette McCurdy has spent more than half her young life acting. Since beginning her television tenure in 2000, McCurdy has appeared on numerous commercials, movies and shows like Malcolm in the Middle, Will & Grace and Law & Order. She has been working with Nickelodeon of late, and appears as Sam Puckett in the network's popular show iCarly. McCurdy has already earned nominations for Young Artist Teen Choice Awards. In addition to acting, McCurdy is a talented singer-songwriter, recently launching her music career with Capitol Records Nashville. Her first two singles, "So Close" and "Homeless Heart," a cover of an Amanda Stott song, were released last year, and work is now completed on her debut full-length album as well.
